Maltiply collects the information needed to run valuation, collection, scanning, reviews, alerts and marketplace features. We keep the policy practical: what we collect, why we use it, who may see it, and how you stay in control.

Information We Collect

  • Account details such as name, email and login details.
  • Profile and collection data, including bottles, wishlist and portfolio value tracking.
  • Scan data from bottle, menu or bar scans and valuation history.
  • Community content such as reviews, ratings, tasting notes and shared cards.
  • Device and usage data for diagnostics, security and performance.
  • Location data, if enabled, to show nearby whisky shops and bars.

  • To power alerts, price tracking, sold-bottle notifications and valuation history.

Market Data & Valuations

  • Valuations may use auction results, retail pricing, internal analytics and AI-supported models.
  • Maltiply provides market guidance and insight, not guaranteed resale prices.

Sharing of Information

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We may share data with service providers that support hosting, analytics, payments and notifications.
  • Community reviews and shared cards may be visible to other users when you choose to post or share them.
  • Only when you separately opt in, approved partner sites may display your review rating, tasting descriptors, comment, publish date and display name with Maltiply attribution. Email, account ID, avatar, country and collection data are not included.

Your Choices & Controls

  • You may update your account, collection, reviews and preferences.
  • You may withdraw partner syndication consent for a review at any time. Its detailed content will then be removed from future partner responses, while an otherwise-public rating may remain in anonymous community aggregates.
  • You may manage alerts, notification settings and location permissions.
  • You may request account deletion, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Data Security & Retention

  • We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
  • We retain information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Children's Privacy

  • Maltiply is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not designed for children.
