Aberlour A'bunadh, Sherry Cask, Batch No. 070, 2021, 61.2%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The dark fruit and sherry-soaked raisins give this a rich, sweet-leaning character, with orange peel adding a brighter edge. Warm baking spices and dry oak sound like a useful counterweight to all that fruit. A bold, warming style, with the balance between sweetness and oak doing the work.
