A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The pull here is the contrast between bright citrus and the waxy, oily character, with tropical fruit running through the notes. I like that this isn’t simply sweet: bitter grapefruit, herbs and pepper give the palate some edge, while honey and pineapple keep it rounded. The finish is described as medium to long, with more fruit and grapefruit bitterness. That balance sounds compelling, though the bitter and herbal side may not suit someone looking for an easy, purely sweet dram.
