Black Jack Pure Highland Malt 6 Year Old, Fabbri, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

84 / 100

There’s a pleasing contrast here: a delicate aroma followed by a palate described as extremely rich and very balanced. That combination appeals to me more than a whisky trying to announce lots of separate flavours; the balance gives the richness some restraint. The finish is also described as rich and smooth, keeping the impression rounded and composed. For my taste, the appeal is in that clear contrast and the sense of richness held in balance.
