Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon Foundations Limited Edition, New American Oak Cask, 2024, 55%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

89 / 100

The caramel, dried fruit and toasted oak on the nose lead into a palate with more depth: honeyed toffee and dark cherries alongside roasted nuts and warm cinnamon. I’m drawn to that balance of sweetness, spice and oak; it gives the character shape without making the description feel one-note. The lingering vanilla and oak spice also make for a coherent close. A thoughtfully put-together bourbon profile.
