88 / 100
There’s a pleasing shift from fruity red apple on the nose to creamy butterscotch on the palate, with the long, velvety finish giving those notes a soft landing. At 48% ABV, the bottling strength is part of the picture, but it doesn’t need to overshadow that approachable fruit-to-cream contrast. As a 27-year-old Speyside single malt, it sounds measured and rounded; that contrast is the part I find most appealing.
