Caperdonich Rare Auld 38 Year Old, Oak Cask, Cask #7427, 1972, Duncan Taylor, 52.6%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

91 / 100

The floral malt gives this a clear thread through all that ripe fruit, and the buttercream keeps it soft around the edges. I like that the malt character stays in view rather than getting lost in the fruit.
