Daftmill Summer Batch Release 13 Year Old, First-fill Bourbon Cask, 2025, 46%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

89 / 100

The fruit-led character is the clearest draw here. Green apple peel on the nose gives company to citrus and jammy apricot, while the palate broadens into cantaloupe, grapefruit and orchard fruits. Malted biscuit and white chocolate offer a gentle counterweight to that fruit and sweetness. The medium-to-long finish carries citrus zest into soft grassiness and herbaceous notes. For a fruit-focused palate, that range and balance look especially appealing, with white pepper and ginger adding a distinct spicy contrast.
