The notes suggest a sherry-led character, with dried apricot and demerara sugar on the nose moving toward fig jam and toffee on the palate. Baking spice and gentle oak give that sweetness some definition, while the finish keeps the emphasis on fruit and malt. The Oloroso sherry butt is a useful style cue, but the described flavours do the real work here. A coherent, well-supported set of notes that suits my interest in layered whisky.
