The dark chocolate and citrus give this Highland single malt a clear contrast, with coffee and gentle spice adding depth on the palate. I’m especially drawn to the described finish: citrus alongside molasses, stewed fruits, toffee, oak and spice sounds layered and lingering, rather than resting on sweetness alone. It’s a composed character, with plenty of detail across the nose and palate too.
