Dalmore Distillery Exclusive Cask Strength 19 Year Old, Bourbon Cask, 2016, 54.8%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

There’s a cheerful contrast here: Turkish delight and vanilla ice cream on the nose, followed by spicy pineapple and caramel fudge on the palate. The fruit and spice keep the sweeter notes from reading as one-dimensional, while Ogen melon brings a distinct turn. Sultanas, banana bread and Swiss milk chocolate give the finish a clear, dessert-like direction. It’s a characterful set of notes, with enough interplay to invite a closer look.
