Glen Spey 11 Year Old, Bourbon & Madeira Cask, 1996, Murray McDavid, 46%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

83 / 100

Rich berry fruit and soft sweetness give this Glen Spey an appealing, gentle character, with spice adding some balance. The notes lean sweeter than the restrained style I tend to prefer, but the fruit and spice sound well matched.
