The fresh oak and spices seem to fit the rest rather than take over: they contrast nicely with the marmalade, dark fruits and chocolate. That balance makes this an appealing match for my oak-friendly preferences.

Sweet dates, dark prunes and raisins, Ginger, black pepper and clove oil

Finish

Dark fruits, cooked down fruits, citrus, spiced cocoa and lingering minerality
