Glenfiddich Malt Master's Edition, Bourbon & Sherry Cask, Batch No. 08/16, 2016, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The ripe apples, plums and cherries give this a fruit-led start, while vanilla and the subtle sherry note add warmth without crowding them out. On the palate, the sherbet-like zing shifts toward spice, then richer dried fruit, toffee and dark chocolate. That move from bright fruit to deeper sweetness sounds especially appealing, and the gentle oak-spice finish keeps the whole picture balanced rather than overly sweet.
