Glenfiddich Special Old Reserve Pure Malt Clan of the Highlands of Drummond, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

85 / 100

It sounds more light and smooth than deeply rich, though the rich toffee and honeyed sweetness give it some weight. Orchard fruit, pear and citrus keep the impression bright, with a sweet, lingering finish and a hint of oak. That balance is appealing, but the lighter side seems to lead.
