There’s a clear sweet-fruit and citrus thread here: pineapple cake and lemon candy on the nose meet orange juice and pineapple on the palate. Cereal and grassy notes give that sweetness a firmer edge, while the heat on the palate and finish sounds less composed. The first-fill ex-bourbon barrel is stated, but the appeal is really the readable fruit-and-cereal contrast. A reservedly positive prospect, with the heat as a caveat.
