There’s a pleasing contrast between sherry notes, oak and nuttiness on the nose, and a fruit-led palate of ripe plums, dried apricots and sweet grape jam, with a hint of spice. I like that the finish is described as solid and harmonious; it gives the whisky a composed close without making a claim about its length. This reads as a rounded, measured Highland single malt.
