Glenmorangie Château de Meursault Wood Finish 12 Year Old, Bourbon & White Burgundy Cask, 46%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The appeal here is the shift from delicate floral and citrus notes on the nose to a creamy, sweet palate. Lemon and orange keep the vanilla and honey from reading as one-note, while ginger and nutmeg add a restrained spicy edge. That balance sounds inviting to me, especially the move from bright citrus to softer malt and a medium finish with honey, vanilla and spice.
