Glentromie Especial 17 Year Old, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

There’s a pleasing restraint in how the dried fruit, orange zest, and toasted oak sit alongside darker notes of chocolate and cocoa. The palate’s fig, raisin, and sherry sweetness sounds rich, while cinnamon and clove bring a clear counterpoint rather than pushing the character in one direction. That balance, and the lingering dried-fruit finish, make this a warmly layered 17-year-old single malt on the evidence here.
