Sherry leads; the nose notes no oak, which makes the oak question moot.

Nose
Sweet-ish sherry, vanilla, ripe cherries, raisins, caramel, and slight ginger-like spice; no oaky notes.
Palate
Diluted sherry, vanilla, cocoa, coffee beans, dark chocolate, grapefruit peel, and diluted raisin syrup.
Finish
Medium-long, with dryness and dark fruits; chocolate grows more pronounced over time.
