This leans toward a rich, sweet bourbon character rather than the crisp freshness I tend to favour. Honeycomb and butterscotch shape the nose, while the palate brings in walnut and chocolate peanut. Orange peel offers a welcome brighter contrast alongside raisin and cinnamon, though the nuttier character remains central. On the finish, caramel and plum sit with peppercorn, and the notes indicate that combination lasts. I like the way the peppercorn gives the sweetness some counterweight, with the orange peel adding definition earlier on. For my taste, those contrasts are the main appeal. It sounds well-rounded, even if its richer side would draw me in more than its freshness.
