The fruit, grape and syrup notes give this Australian single malt a clear thread from palate to finish, while polished wood adds a drier edge. I like that contrast, and the good mouthfeel sounds inviting. The alcohol-forward palate may make it less easygoing than the fruit suggests, but the long finish gives the flavours room to linger. A warmly characterful balance, rather than a soft, gentle style.
