This sounds well suited to someone who enjoys a sweet whisky, with caramel fudge and honey joined by blackberry and dark cherry on the palate. Those darker fruit notes make the sweetness more interesting than sugar alone. Toasted oak is a clear part of the aroma and returns alongside brown sugar on the finish, giving the sweeter notes some balance. I like that relationship, though the palate itself leans firmly toward sweet fruit and confectionery, so the oak does more of its work at either end. The slightly rounded close also points to a gentle ending rather than a strong contrast. Overall, the combination appeals to my taste, with a modest reservation about how sweet the middle sounds.
