Jameson Irish Whiskey, Bourbon & Sherry Cask, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

85 / 100

the draw here is the easy meeting of spice and sweetness: spicy wood and pepper on the nose lead into nutty, vanilla notes with a hint of sweet sherry. The light floral fragrance gives it a softer edge, while the smooth, lingering finish sounds like a comfortable close rather than a sharp change of direction. A friendly, approachable character for a blended whisky, with enough contrast to keep the sweetness from feeling one-note.
