Jim Beam Red Stag Black Cherry 4 Year Old, 32.5%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

84 / 100

Black cherry leads clearly, with vanilla and light oak on the nose. On the palate, caramel and bourbon oak give the fruit a fuller, more grounded frame. The finish is moderate and slightly dry, with cherry lingering alongside soft bourbon spice. That shift from a fruit-rich palate to a drier close gives the character some shape. It reads as a focused, approachable bourbon style, though the cherry remains firmly in front.
