John Walker King George V, Oak Cask, 1991, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

At 43% ABV, this blended whisky sits at a measured strength. The combination of sweet fruit, vanilla and dark chocolate toffee gives it a rich character, while the smoky, salty finish adds a more savoury edge. I find that contrast appealing.
