Johnnie Walker Blue Label Nepal Limited Edition, 2015, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The appeal is the soft, sweet side meeting a quieter thread of smoke: dried fruit, citrus peel and cocoa sit alongside cedar, vanilla cream and warming spice. That contrast gives the blend more shape than sweetness alone, while the long finish keeps caramel, dried fruit and cocoa in view with elegant smoke. It sounds polished without making smoke the whole conversation—a balance I’d favor over a heavier peat-led style.
