There’s plenty here to interest someone who likes oak and spice, but the appealing part is how those notes sit alongside the fruit and smoke. Apple and citrus give the nose a fresh opening against gentle peat smoke, while vanilla and sweet spices keep it inviting. The palate sounds fuller and sweeter, with caramel and dried fruits meeting more distinct peat and wood spice. That shift gives the whisky some movement without making any one flavour the whole story. The described finish carries wood smoke, honey and spicy oak, then a hint of sea salt. I’d lean toward this for its balance of sweetness and smoky character, particularly the way the fresher nose contrasts with the richer palate.
