Kanosuke Single Malt Japanese Whisky Limited Edition, Shochu, Sherry & Bourbon Cask, 59%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

86 / 100

Banana, custard and salted caramel sound inviting, with black tea and wisps of smoke giving the sweetness some counterweight. Citrus, pepper and a little ginger carry into the finish. That balance appeals to me more than sweetness alone, though the notes leave the weight of each side open.
