Lagavulin The Distillers Edition 18 Year Old, Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask, Batch No. lgv.4/465, 1997, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The raisiny sweetness and dark oak give the peat some depth, and that long, smoky finish is the draw for me. The medicinal and ashy notes make it a particular pick rather than a safe crowd-pleaser.
