Laphroaig 10 Year Old, Bourbon Cask, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

85 / 100

The sweetness is present in the vanilla, caramel and sweet malt, but it sits alongside strong peat smoke, brine and spice. That contrast gives this Islay malt more balance than a purely sweet style, though the smoky, medicinal side clearly leads.
