Macallan Old & Rare Platinum Selection 30 Year Old, Sherry Cask, 1977, Douglas Laing, 52.2%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The lemon on the nose and the fruity finish give this rich, sweet whisky a welcome lift. The contrast with treacle and nuts sounds especially appealing.
