Macallan Reflexion, Sherry & Hogshead Cask, 2014, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

84 / 100

It’s labelled unpeated, and the notes focus on citrus, dried fruit and chocolate, with oak and spice alongside. That gives the documented character a sweeter, fruit-led direction than the smoky styles I tend to prefer, though smoke itself isn’t described here.
