Macallan Speymalt 14 Year Old, Sherry Cask, 2005, Gordon & MacPhail, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

Sherry, orange peel and chocolate make for a warmly layered character, with pepper adding a lively little turn. There’s plenty here beyond the smoke question, and that citrus-and-chocolate combination sounds especially appealing.
