Fruit, baking spice and caramel give this bourbon a familiar centre, with the creamy, soft palate keeping the spice in balance. The mellow finish is described as lingering, so that creamy character carries through rather than ending abruptly. This sounds rounded and composed, with enough contrast between fruit, caramel and spice to hold interest. It fits my preference for clear, connected flavours without needing a more unusual direction.
