Midleton Very Rare, Bourbon Cask, 2000, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

The vanilla and sweet fruit appeal to me, while the mild chilli prickle keeps the sweetness from feeling too simple. Oak tannins add some grip to the finish. It sounds approachable, but not entirely soft.
