Nantou’s fruit character has an appealing lift: nectarine and Turkish delight bring sweetness, while the finish’s pink grapefruit skin adds a more fragrant, bitter edge. The salted, buttery popcorn on the palate offers a welcome change of direction rather than simply extending the fruit. There’s plenty of detail here, but the contrast keeps it from feeling one-note. A thoughtfully balanced, fruit-led character with enough savoury detail to hold my interest.
