Nikka Yoichi 1988 20 Year Old, Bourbon & Sherry Cask, 2008, 55%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

There’s a nice contrast between delicate peat and red berries on the nose, then creamy spice, orange and earthy peat smoke on the palate. The long, sweet, smoky finish with fresh apples sounds appealing; it’s a layered, characterful style.
