Old Pulteney 2006 Vintage 11 Year Old, First Fill Bourbon Cask, 2017, 46%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

84 / 100

The citrus, coastal salt and malty sweetness give this Highland single malt a clear, appealing direction. The finish brings some bitterness from oak and cask char, so it sounds less even than the palate, but that contrast keeps it from feeling simply sweet.
