Port Ellen Connoisseurs Choice 19 Year Old, 1980, Gordon & MacPhail, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

89 / 100

A 19-year-old Islay single malt, with its age, type and Scottish origin clearly coming through in the identity. The citrus and pepper against peat smoke, then honey sweetness, gives it a lively but balanced character. A strong fit for someone who enjoys that contrast.
