Everyone gets a bit misty-eyed when they see this distillery name, but let's be real: this is a 12-year-old malt at a decent 50% ABV. It skips the usual light-and-breezy Lowland trope for a palate that actually has some oak grip and pepper. The floral nose is fine, but I appreciate that it doesn't just evaporate on the tongue. It is a solid dram that avoids the overhyped fluff often attached to these bottles.
