Speyside Single Malt 22 Year Old, Refill Barrel Cask, 2000, Thompson Bros, 54%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

85 / 100

The leafy sage and bitter-herb side gives this a more savoury feel, while dilution brings out brighter stone fruit and floral notes. That contrast sounds appealing, though the herbal edge may not suit everyone.
