The oak seems to sit comfortably with the fruit rather than crowding it out: polished wood and spice meet yellow plums, apples and honey on the nose, then aromatic oak joins apricot and citrus on the palate. The slightly drier finish gives the wood a clearer voice, with oak spice alongside raisins and chocolate. That balance makes the documented oak feel like a useful thread through the whisky, not a separate layer imposed on it. It sounds warmly rounded, with enough fruit to keep the wood from becoming the whole story.
