Bourbon and sherry casks make an appealing pairing for my preferences. The notes give it some shape, with vanilla and oak alongside sherry notes, ripe berries and dark chocolate. There is also a brighter orchard-fruit side, while mint and ginger add a sharper edge. The finish is described with soft oak warmth, spice and red fruits. I like that the cask detail is specific, though I would not assign particular flavours to either cask from this information. Overall, this sounds rounded rather than narrowly sweet, with enough fruit and spice to keep the oak from being the whole story.
