This reads as a rich, oak-led Kentucky bourbon, with vanilla and caramel set against dark cherries and other fruit. The palate adds baking spice, dried fruit and oak tannins, so it sounds less like a one-note sweet pour than the deep nose might suggest. Chocolate, charred sugar and warming oak spice give the long finish a satisfying contrast, though the tannic edge and 57% strength point to a fairly weighty style. Its single barrel selection and new charred oak cask are clear parts of its identity.
