Willett Family Estate 'Purple People Eater' Private Barrel Selection 13 Year Old, White Oak Cask, Cask #420, 63.3%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

Brown sugar, coffee and toasted oak give this bourbon a clear sweet, toasty direction, while ginger and black pepper keep it from reading as simple sweetness. The finish is described as intense, which sounds less restrained than my usual preference, but the flavours still seem to hold together.
