Yoichi 15 Year Old has a pleasing balance between fruit and savory character: dried apple and peach meet warming spice and a note of salinity. The finish is where it makes its clearest impression, staying long and warming while bittersweet oak tannins and gentle peat smoke gradually fade. That measured, lingering finish gives the whisky a calm sense of depth without making the smoke the whole story.
