Hanyu Ichiro's Malt Cask Strength 23 Year Old, Sherry Cask, 1985, Ichiro's Malt, 58%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

84 / 100

The sherry and soft chocolate sound like they bring some richness, but this also seems light, floral and lively rather than dense. That gentler balance appeals to me, with minty spice and quinine bitterness keeping it from reading as purely sweet.
