The fruit gives this a welcome lift: raisins and plums sit alongside brighter apricot and orange on the nose. I like that contrast, especially as the palate turns darker, with bitter coffee and herbal notes against caramel sweetness and sour orange. It sounds like a layered, firmly sherried style rather than an easygoing fruit dram, but the citrus keeps it engaging. The earthy, peppery finish adds a final counterpoint without taking over.
