A 15-year-old Scottish single malt from Campbeltown, with the sherry-cask character set against a clearly peaty edge. The combination of prunes and figs with sooty kiln smoke and smoked meats gives it a more savoury, bracing character than a straightforwardly sweet sherry-led whisky. The maritime suggestion on the nose adds another layer without displacing those richer notes. That balance makes this a compelling fit for someone drawn to concentrated fruit alongside smoke, rather than a gentle, dessert-like style.
